Visiting the Royal Consulate General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City
On April 27, 2016, the delegation from Mien Tay Construction University (MTU) led by Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu - Vice Rector visited the Royal Consulate General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City on academic cooperation and exchanges. Receiving MTU’s delegation, there were Mr. Sim Sokhom – Consul General, Mr. En Tara – Consul, and other attaché of the Royal Consulate General of Cambodia.
Two key issues were addressed and agreed upon as follows:
- A grant of 05 full scholarships in the subject area of Civil Engineering to Cambodian students (sponsored by Mien Tay Construction University).
- Preparation of establishing ties of partnership between Mien Tay Construction University and universities/colleges of Cambodia to promote mutual understanding, academic collaboration, cultural and personnel exchanges in the future.

In addition, Mr. Sim Sokhom, Consul General of the Royal Consulate General of Cambodia also discussed the traditional relationship between Vietnam and Cambodia, and the great potentials for academic cooperation between MTU and universities of Cambodia. Mr. Sim Sokhom high appreciated the support and assistance by providing scholarships and cooperation opportunities from Mien Tay Construction University.
On behalf of MTU, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu, Vice Rector expressed his enjoyment to visit Royal Consulate General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City and wished to develop further the good relations with universities of Cambodia.

The meeting concluded with a token gift ceremony for Consul General and representatives of the Royal Consulate General of Cambodia in Ho Chi Minh City.
